The Boka Group

1. What is the Boka Group?
Founded in 2005, the Boka Group is a global alternative asset manager and corporate finance adviser based in the Bahamas, with offices globally. Boka focusses on Real Assets – real estate, infrastructure and energy and renewable resources, Private Equity, Global Market Strategies – distressed and corporate opportunities and hedge funds, and Sovereign Advisory – to public and Sovereign entities.

2. Who leads the firm?
Boka is led by our two Co-founders: John James and John Kennedy, who are Co-CEOs. Mr. James is also the firm’s Chief Investment Officer.

3. Where did Boka get its name?
The Founders hoped to create an institution that would transcend them, so rather than using their last names, they chose to name the firm after the Boka Kotorska (or Bay of Kotor), where their first joint investment was made as the firm was established.

Boka has two sets of investors: those who commit capital to our funds and those who invest directly into investment projects.

Our purpose is to invest wisely and create value on behalf of our fund investors, which include a range of institutions and high net worth individuals. Through our funds investors many people around the world are beneficiaries of Boka’s investments. Boka does not disclose information about its investors.
